J N Kennedy requests Progress Lane drains be loaned out. The matter goes to the Acting Inspector. The purchase of a new typewriter goes to the Finance Committee.

The council approved a plan by Mr M Russell first assistant at Young Intermediate High School to have 15 or 20 selected pupils attend the municipal council each week. Alderman J J Patterson commended the idea saying the children show more interest than their elders.
