Manilla Race Track Hope From Crown Lands Plan
A government letter outlines a plan to set aside up to 90 to 100 acres along the North of Manilla town to create a public race track area. The proposal suggests dedicating part of Temporary Common and a travelling stock route, with municipal trustees and a fenced paddock for horses and cows, to revive country town sport. A public meeting is urged to decide on the plan and a survey officer will assist with marking the site.
