Manilla Council approves stalls and clock site
The Manilla Municipal Council met Tuesday night with Mayor Bowman presiding. It granted the Returned Soldiers League approval for a street stall on April 2 by Mrs. R. H. Hudson, and the Department of Main Roads gave no objection to placing the town clock by the Post Office garden plot. The hockey club was allowed use of a recreation ground on Sundays if no cricket is played before season end. The Divisional Returning Officer’s use of Council Chambers for the March 26 state election was approved.
