Rain halted Manilla Race Club events at the Winter Meeting after the Senior Jockeys voiced danger concerns. Races opened with poor visibility due to Friday and Saturday rain, three starters faced the barrier in the Flying Handicap, and the program was largely abandoned with only partial results: Rose Mayle won the Maiden Handicap in a narrow finish, while Forbes unexpectedly claimed the First Improvers Handicap with Tasview and Forbes close behind.
