A public apology is issued to Thors unable to procure meat. The notice promises full supply for all customers on Saturday next, aiming to restore confidence and ensure continued service without further interruptions.
Pastoral conditions vary from fair to very bad as dry rough grass covers most lands. Some northern areas show feed for now but southern regions are bare. Rain has improved crops and water supply, with better prospects if follow up rains come. Livestock shows mixed health with starvation losses possible if pastures do not recover. hand feeding and fodder transport remain difficult.
