Manilla Council Considers Hospital Disinfectant Aid
The Manilla and District Council met on Tuesday with Mayor A. R. McLean and Aldermen present. The Manilla District Hospital sought a reduced price for disinfectant. the Inspector stated the annual hospital cost is about £2. A Kennedy backed motion secured a free supply for the rest of 1931. Other items covered included street and tip improvements, road repairs after heavy rains, and staff pay and valuations. The meeting also discussed tree planting across streets and a barber license for Mr Weatherall, with funding to be arranged as funds allow.
