Infected plants are stunted, form excessive small shoots, and have deformed flowers. there is no cure. Destroy affected plants by burning immediately to prevent spread via aphids. Nurseries should inspect young plants in spring and destroy any with distorted leaves or veined tissue clearing. Even if growth improves late in the season, destroy tubers and plants.
