Manilla Branch Delegates Report On CWA Conference
Manilla delegate Mrs. W M Dwyer reports on the 16th annual CWA conference in Sydney with near 600 NSW women present. The program featured Lady Wakehurst hosting events, education gains from Mr D H Drummond, debates on equal pay and health measures, and resolutions including banning infectious guests and free school transport. The Namoi Group pushed for equal pay, disease safeguards, school transport, and a board of review for child abuse cases. Mrs Sawyer and Mrs Studdy led, with Mrs Beveridge elected president.
