Opening of the Methodist Church at Manilla

The building, Gothic brick on Strafford Street, seats 210, features memorial windows, and cost £1516 8s 5d with £770 raised and £703 debt. Last week’s competition at 500 and 600 yards featured eight shots per range. Loseby led 500 yards with 38, three shooters tied at 39 with handicap. J Bignall won the shoot-off for his first win. At 600 yards L Bignall and Loxeby tied on 37, Loxeby winning with handicap. Daily prizes list L Bignall three, Bushby two, Loseby two, Morgan two, Grant one, Sutherland one, J Bignall one. North beat Loseby 75 to 70 on the ladder. Grant defeated W Bignall 72 to 66. Bushby 62 beat Morgan 61. J Bignall 69 and A Yates 69 tied. Leaderboard shows Bushby replacing Morgan.
