A notice from 5. S. Wheeler of Orton Park Keepit dated January 1930 warns that anyone shooting hunting fishing or trespassing on the property after the date will be prosecuted. All previous permissions are cancelled and a £25 reward is offered for information leading to the conviction of anyone stealing wheat or cattle from the property.

A federal budget proposal presented by Mr Scullin on Wednesday suggests a 23 percent sales tax. The plan follows a Canadian style taxation system with exemptions for milk dairy products bread and pastry, potatoes and crops, market and orchard produce, fish grapes hay, coal, government factory goods, and items under new revenue duties. Taxable sales include all imported goods for Australian consumption and domestically produced goods not exempted, with imported duties due at customs when taken from control unless wholesaler or manufacturer licensed under sales tax law.
