Speech by Wentworth Shields on Australian Bush Life
The speech portrays bush life in New South Wales as hard yet dignified, praising endured endurance and neighbourly warmth while noting isolation and moral standards. It calls for education, broadcasting, and cultural exchanges to bridge town and country and improve rural life. Lenin is noted as dead and a whisky bonus is urged.
