A Wednesday sale of 1877 sheep and 835 cattle yielded strong demand from Northern Mest works Aberdeen Chilling Co Tamworth Newcastle Maitland butchers and Sydney Meat Cos. Fat sheep averaged 57/ per head with prices ranging to 4/16/6 for a rare lot while cattle included three-year-old Hereford blacks at 40/6 and cows up to 23/ per head.
