Manilla received 2645 pots of rain in 1941 with heavy totals in January to March totaling 1486 points. April and fall months were dry, seven-month rainfall reached 2429 points while five months registered 166. The year started with flood and ended in drought, totaling 75 rainy days. The highest daily fall was 270 points on March 10. Manilla had ten inches less rain than in 1940.
The Tamworth district reports mixed pastoral conditions from fair to good with abundant dry feed and diminishing underground water. Anthrax control at Roggabri is underway after a death, and other livestock health issues include sheep maggot, cattle lameness, ophthalmia, and rising worm infestation. Rabbits and kittens surge along rivers. In wartime news, Free French warships and escorts are put into service, with ships named Surcouf Minerve Leopard Melpomene Moque Chevreuil Volontaire Leoville Reine des Flots Amiens and Epa among others, plus submarines and fast craft.
Warning issued that anyone shooting or interfering with fences will be prosecuted without exception. Old permissions are withdrawn. The Red Cross Circle at Manilla District Rural School raised funds through activities to aid convalescent children and families, supporting convalescence care and schooling with gifts from local pirates organizations in state schools.
