A Grenfell Police Court ruling on November 3 1951 involved Wallace Herbert Griffiths of Grenfell charged under the Pastures Protection Act for possessing 20 ewes with an unrecorded ear mark. The magistrate dismissed the information finding no obligation to record a distinctive mark and that a holder may request recording of distinct marks when desired, with inspector duties to record. The appeal was dismissed.
