Church consecration marks debt freedom in Manilla note
The Church of England in Manilla was consecrated by Bishop J Moyes with 200 to 300 attendees. Visiting clergy included Rev A Battersby and Rev H Mills. The service featured readings at each church part, a deed of consecration, and a sermon urging unity, evangelisation, and regular worship. The Bishop discussed his America trip and a forthcoming book. Ash Wednesday service and Lent plans were announced along with missions gifts.
