Manilla retailer Stoddart and Hayward Ltd. announces stocking Agnes Borel beauty preparations. The notice specifies Saturday hours from 10 am to 12:30 pm and invites the public to inquire about the range.
The 1931 Manilla Express accuses State and Federal Labor of aiming to socialise means of production and industry, with Transport and Arbitration acts noted as steps toward state control. It argues rural electors should oppose Labor to avoid supporting Soviet goals and to back bread and meat prices for country voters.
Sunday evening at 7 30 the Young People's Club holds a second Church Parade at the Methodist Church with the Christmas Service and a talk on the meaning of Christmas by Rev R Grayson. Also advertised are half price table brush sets wallets and blacks at Roberts Bros Xmas Store.
The article lauds Charles Hardy of the Country Party as sincere and appealing to the masses.
