The notice lists 60 by 90 and 72 by 90 quilts with prices 27/11 and 29/6, 70 by 100 and 90 by 100 Vantona bedspreads priced 45 and 57/9, silk spreads in pink blue lemon green 29/6, mosquito nets and bed sizes with fragmented price data, including single three-quarter and double beds.
The Manilla Spastic Centre Council met at the RSL Club Room to report a successful year. They raised 1052 pounds 4 shillings 11 pence for a hostel for country spastic children, bringing total local funds to 2367 pounds. Donations came from businesses, staff weekly envelopes, and a Spastic Week that netted 640 pounds 9 shillings 10 pence. The treasurer highlighted income sources. funds funded treatment for a local spastic boy, Dallas Todd, with several hospital visits arranged. Elections named W R Grantham as President, with A G Cameron and T Davis as vice presidents. The State Member W A Chaffey will open the Hospital Xmas Tree in Manilla on December 4 with Santa present for children. Proceeds provide baskets, drinks, and gifts.
The Shire of Dinawirdi Veness and Manilla in Darling County limits any building within a proclaimed area. Plans must be submitted with two copies and a building permit issued after compliance with part XI of the Local Government Act. A boundary description covers Dinawirindi Parish to Namoi River and Manilla river bounds, with plans available at the Shire office.

The Manilla District Hospital reports October averages a daily patient count of 10.35, a dip from September. At month start 1 October there were patients, 18 admissions raised the total treated to 27, 19 discharges left 8 in hospital on 31 October. Outpatients 28, attendances 70. Matron thanks contributors who donated eggs magazines vegetables old linen books and groceries during October including Mrs Coulton Sutherland Blanch Cleaver Dowe McDonald Jackson Younger Sing Peter Kennedy and G Jenkins.
