Manilla Hospital Board Elects Officers and Plans Ward Changes
The Manilla Hospital Board elected new office bearers for the ensuing year led by Chairman R G Veness and Vice Chairman H V Dowe. An alteration was approved to convert the Children’s Ward to a Maternity and Labour Ward for 12 months, with further review. Insurance on the building and contents was raised, and July financials show a subsidy of £649 bringing receipts to £672 14 8, payments £395 3 5, general fund credit £769 6 5, and July statistics noting 5 inpatients, 31 admissions, 3 discharges, 5 remaining, daily average 29, and 22 new outdoor patients with 66 visits.
