Librarian Reports High Demand Strains Library Stock
The Librarian Miss E. W. Stengert told the Municipal Council that rising enrolments have drained book stocks. With 310 total members and 195 children’s books, demand outpaces supply, prompting a plan to obtain outside books. If each enrolled adult borrows one fiction and one non fiction, three fictions and fifteen non fiction remain. Income to 31 March 1951 totals £18 13s 7d from subscriptions fees and fines.
