Novel Yorkshire bet sparks bookmaker dispute

A wager of five pounds weekly for life 18 2/6 was declared a fixed payment after a racecourse bet. The bookmaker called the whole thing a joke, but the court ruled the bet valid with payments set at five pounds weekly for one year.
