Mackay trots open racing card with multiple stakes
The program lists opening handicap at 40 shillings for four furlongs, then a 12:45 p.m. member's handicap with 50 pounds and a 10 pound stake prize. Nomination fees apply for the President's Trophy and various races including two mile events, a one mile auction stakes, and a ladies purse. Races run from 2:50 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with weights and conditions specified for each event.
