Planning Relief For Europe Is Big Problem
Montreal reports from UK and US military commands and UNRRA boards outline relief needs for Europe. Six month army-led relief plan has already been exceeded in Italy and may extend to France. Italy would receive a UNRRA allotment not exceeding 50 million dollars with two thirds support, aimed at postwar Italy, not Germany. Canada allocations include 2.25 million yards of woven woollen goods and 24,000 tons of farm machinery.
