Free Land and Tax Breaks Pushed to Lure Industry

He said the investment in land and foregone taxes would yield long term wage profits and regional growth, noting his company expanded to Miami and secured protections to avoid first year losses. Reeve H D Hildebrand criticized high water rates, comparing province wide rates to city charges, as hearings toured Carberry Winkler and Morden, highlighting housing and capital access needs for small communities.
