WMS Sale and Meeting Ahead in Macauley and Southend
Clayton and Blanche Southend visited Ed Chant's family on Sunday. A sale of work and home cooking will be held by the WMS at Macauley school on Saturday October 19. The October WMS meeting will be at Mrs Ed Chant's on October 1 at 230 pm. A miscellaneous shower for Miss Ayres Pennell bride elect was held in Southend school with forty five ladies present and a dainty lunch.

Golden wedding of Rev and Mrs Armstrong in MacGregor
Rev G L Armstrong and his wife Minnie Franklin observed their 50th anniversary at their MacGregor home on September 23. The couple, who married in Stayner Ontario in 1893, have lived in Winnipeg and Manitoba before settling in MacGregor. The celebrations drew about 100 guests from Winnipeg Brandon and Vancouver, with gifts and a social gathering at the Lye home following church services.
