Allan McDougall enlisted in the Army after visiting at his home Saturday. He is stationed at Ft. Osborne Barracks in Winnipeg. He is the fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan McDougall to enlist, with George and Billie overseas, Clyde in the RCAF in Edmonton, and AC2 Grobb son-in-law in the RCAF at Toronto.

The MacGregor Collegiate notes describe full swing in basketball and football, a Grade XI disruption with rearranged desks, and a two day visit from inspector Mr RM Stevenson of Winnipeg who gave a reading test and spoke on education benefits after the war.
The churches announce Sunday events at St Pauls MacGregor including Sunday School at 11 am and Evening Prayer at 7 pm. United Churches schedule shows MacGregor 11 am and 7 pm, Bagot 1:30 pm, Beaver 3 pm. Reception followed at Herbert H Nevard home.

Mr and Mrs Fred Birk Sundre Alta and Mrs McCullough sister of late M Harkness of Minot ND visited the Harkness home this week.

The Children's Aid Society of Central Manitoba reports serving over 9000 square miles and driving 23 700 miles to make 3 479 visits last year. They supervised 750 children at home, conducted 1 105 local interviews, 1 940 calls, 170 meetings, and 3 475 letters, attended 22 court hearings, and seek funding during their annual drive September 20 through October 2.
