Enns urged study of a Winnipeg proposal to allow court intervention after two years if a suitable Roman Catholic home is unavailable, highlighting a lack of Catholic foster homes and cases affected by religious differences. Board members debated religious factors and potential changes to the act while noting prior contested outcomes like the Halas case.
