Fine Weather Aids 1952 Harvest Completion
After four weeks of unsettled weather and a warm dry spell, farmers work from dawn to dusk to finish this year’s near record grain crop. In the district, about 96 percent of the harvest is complete, while north of MacGregor and Beaver, flooding has delayed roundups. Flax quality is praised by Pool Agent Mr. Trinder, with yields around ten bushels per acre, though box car embargoes hinder shipping as elevators reach capacity.
