A boilers at Ith threshing engine belonging to James Hoyle exploded on a Friday morning at Alex Irwin’s Opawaka farm injuring several men. Injured include John Maher Wilfred Jewin William Hoyle and a stranger from Ontario. The fireman was flung 200 feet. Irwin’s condition improving. a fatality is not confirmed.
