Varied Harvest Tales From Prairie Folks Chronicle
A messy local column recounts odd notes from farm life in Manitoba including a 57 inch pumpkin, a corn cob shaped like a hand, and snow on Sept 25 1934. It recalls Edmonton Fire Brigade history, Goodridge as driver No 1 in 1903, and a long list of farmers sharing years of work, crops and small town quirks. The tone blends nostalgia with humorous asides about debt and color changes for cars to hide from creditors.
