Local residents from Winnipeg visit relatives and friends. St Pauls Church marks 35th anniversary with services this Sunday. Community events include dances, bridge drives to raise funds, and church dinners. Wheat and oats yields reported. threshing continues with 60 000 bushels marketed. Harvest services planned for Sept 16 and 23 with special music.
A special Thanksgiving service will be held at the Southend Sunday School on September 9 at 3 pm with speaker Mr R E Walden for Bagot and the MacGregor United Church Choir providing music. Posters announce an auction sale of farm stock, implements, high quality furniture including a piano and china, from Mrs E McCarthy on the MacGregor farm, Saturday Sept 15, auctioneer S C Duff.
Large gathering for the funeral of William Muir. Service at Swan Lake United Church followed by burial at MacGregor cemetery. Eight autoloads of relatives and friends attended from Swan Lake, joined by many locals. Floral tributes testified to the esteem in which he was held after thirty years in the area.
In loving memory of Hugh B. Gordon who died September 7 1932. Mother, sisters and brother send a brief farewell and enduring love as they remember him.
