Dr W Williams of Winnipeg enjoys a week at Forrest Hall Farm as guest of Capt H M Beeby. After two Sundays away, Dr Dickson resumes life service at Austin United Church this coming Sunday.
A tea at Mrs Helfgott's raised 4210 for the Christmas Parcels Fund with another 4515 from a dance on October 21 bringing the total to 42 65. Gifts of cigarettes and cakes arrived and twenty five parcels were packed for men overseas and in the navy with more for forces in Canada to be sent later.

Pall-bearers were Chas Campbell Chas Lewis R J Wallace R Price H Neudorf and A Barber. Flower bearers were Ralph and Leroy Hotel two grandsons. Interment in the family plot at Austin cemetery. McKillop's Ltd had charge of the funeral.
