On Oct 20 at the Winterbottom farm North Austin Orangeville and Spring Brook friends gathered to bid farewell to Mr. and Mrs. Herbert F. Morris and family. Thos Leach led a music program read ings and songs then presented a handsome clock. Mrs Evan Roberts read a heartfelt address hoping prosperity and happiness accompany them to their new home in Ontario.

About forty Pratt and Arizona district residents gathered at the Zacharys home to bid farewell before they depart for Holland Manitoba. An address was read and two arm chairs a leather manuscript case and a purse were presented to Mrs Zachary. A supper followed and a real old time dance was planned with a note that Mr Zachary has taken over the agency of the Lon Co. in Bagot Friday Nov 6 with best wishes from the community. Admission 25c for gents and 25c for ladies. invitation extended to friends of Mac Gregor and Portage.
A community meeting approved an open air rink on the Community grounds with a 4 ft board wall, 70 by 10 ft. James Barrett was elected President, J Smales Vice President, I Pogue Secretary. A committee including Jasper Radclyffe and others will seek funding and a hockey club is planned later.
The U. M. will ship a car of stock from Katrime and Beaver on Tuesday November. Anyone with stock to ship, please notify R. Small of Beaver, of K. Gair, Katrime.
