William Rodgers 68 passed after a long illness at Portage la Prairie General Hospital. Born August 16 1880 in Canada, he lived in Light Hill district after moving from Lavenham and Poplar Point. He married Isabel Emerson in 1928 and served as Light Hill District trustee. An impressive service was held at the family residence on Sunday October 24 conducted by T Ferguson with large attendance. Interment Rosehill Cemetery. He leaves widow and three sons William John George and one daughter Kate.
The Rodgers family expresses deep gratitude for the kindness shown to their beloved husband and father during his illness and after his passing. They acknowledge flowers messages and other thoughtful acts, and thank Mr. Ferguson for special help during the anxious months.
Elizabeth Jean Wright wed Norman Wesley Cuming in a Thursday afternoon ceremony at Mrs Elizabeth Wright Sidney home. Rev J Shaver officiated before relatives and friends amid pink and white decorations. Attendants included Nellie Jones and Lionel Wright. A luncheon followed and the couple left for Regina en route to Sidney residence.
