Old 2860 Finally Finds a Vancouver Home
An old steam locomotive, the 183on Royal Hudson, will be displayed by the Vancouver railway museum club after a $3,000 fundraising drive. The $7,900 sale price was paid to CPR, and the engine will receive CPR paint before arriving at the display site at the foot of Cadero street. Once pulling passenger trains, it now sits between slow freight trains hauled by diesels that ended the steam era on Canadian railways.
