Community notices highlight anniversaries and greetings
The Rossendale column lists Thanksgiving visits from Winnipeg and Portage to the Forsley and Couder families, plus what appears to be a date change for a meeting. It notes wedding anniversaries for several couples, a masquerade dance sponsored by the Community Club, and a send off for the Henry family with gifts and a social evening. Many names and local places appear with well wishes and community events.

Freshie Week antics and fall tests strike Mustangs and girls team
Laughter rang through the halls as seniors organized Simon degree antics during Freshie Week. Initiates were made to bow, fetch shoes, carry books, and pick up litter while parents and teachers joined a playful chug-a-lugging contest won by Mr. Lichewski. October tests loom as students vow to boost effort. The 150-member road race saw girls complete % mile and boys 1% miles. The MacGregor area tea and bake sale raised $46 for the girls’ treasury. The Mustangs closed football with two tough losses but showed potential, featuring strong runs by Ken Patterson and Gerry Nichols, and solid quarterbacking by Gordon Hildebrand. The girls volleyball team beat Portage twice, improving to four wins and two losses with finals in sight.
