Portage hosts visit from longtime residents Thomson couple
A representative crowd gathered at the Portage home of Mr and Mrs G Thomson to honor their move after more than five decades in Salem district. Guests presented a swag lamp TV tables shawl sweater chocolates and a names card. Lunch followed as well wishers shared well wishes for many happy years in the new home.

Oakville and District Horticultural Society announced results from its flower show.
