Elm Creek Cargill elevator draws wide Manitoba business
The Elm Creek Manitoba Cargill elevator opened this fall and is drawing farmers from a broad area. The Huggarts near Rathwell and Gates near Treherne report major flax and sunflower sales processed by Cargill with open pricing and truck pickups. Long-distance deliveries to Minneapolis and beyond show competition benefiting growers, including the Sunnyside Hutterite Colony and Purves area farmers.
