The Children's Aid Society of Central Manitoba appeals for $18,000 to balance its budget and maintain child welfare services. It aided about 1600 youths last year as schools reopened, seeking private donations due to lack of a Community Chest. Residents are urged to contribute to aid disturbed homes and support future doctors, teachers, and citizens.
News of Katrime and District notes many birthday greetings for Harold Gilbert and Mrs. G Reshaur. A Threshers Reunion in Austin drew Katrime folk including Laurence Heselwood. Visits span Winnipeg Portage and Neepawa, with multiple family gatherings and hospital recoveries. A Katrime W.A. sale and Hallowe en Tea are planned for October 30. Open letter backing the Children’s Aid fund urged, donations requested.
