Four weeks left till Christmas morn in local notes

Four weeks remain until Christmas Day as residents share news from Winnipeg hospitals to farm updates. Missing Fit Lieutenant Edwin Bergquist

Winnipeg area notes say Fit.-Lieut. Edwin A. Bergquist is missing after overseas air operations. He was born in 1915 at MacGregor and educated there, enlisted in 1941 as an observer, trained at Brandon Rivers and began overseas service. His promotion to Fit.-Lieut occurred days before his last flight while his family awaits news.

Whist Drive At Women's Institute Held Last Wednesday

A monthly whist session organized by the Women's Institute took place last Wednesday. Prize winners were Mrs Ramsay, Mrs Anderson and Mrs Pears, with proceeds totaling $10.00.

Birthday Congratulations for MacG Pioneer James Fox

The Herald extends best wishes to our longtime resident Mr. James Fox on his 80th milestone this Sunday. Fox first settled in MacG in 1879 with his brother and has lived here ever since. He has subscribed to the paper since its 1897 founding. Wishing him continued good health in the coming year.

Christmas Trees and Concerts Across Town

Readings describe Christmas tree and concert events at multiple locations. Southend and Orangeville schools plan gatherings from December 21 to 23, with St Pauls Sunday School event at MacGregor’s Masonic Hall on December 17. Members invited, refreshments to be served.
