Midnight Sun Steamer Held Up in Mackenzie River Raid
In the Canadian Northland on the Mackenzie River, bandits in two birchbark canoes hijack the Midnight Sun. Father Claverly and Jimmy Montgomery defend passengers while the red-bearded leader coerces surrender and abducts a girl, as tension erupts aboard. The scene ends with a threat of further violence and a foreshadowed continuation.
