MacGregor Curling Club to Start Strong This Winter
The semi annual meeting of the Mac Gregor Curling Club attracted a large attendance and energy, signaling a popular season ahead with many old and new members. Alex MacDonald returns to run the rink, promising good ice, while officers include President A Swat Ast and Vice President S R Lamb with a robust executive lineup.

Christmas Tree Event and Community Hall Meeting
A Christmas tree event will be held in the Community on December 25. Posters will be posted. The annual meeting of the Community Hall and a whist drive are scheduled for Friday November 21. A good attendance is requested.
Death of Mrs. Fred Lawrence at MacGregor Farm
Mrs. Fred Lawrence died Saturday night at the family farm six miles southeast of MacGregor after a prolonged illness of heart disease. Born in Bellville Ontario forty three years ago she moved west as a child with her parents, lived in Portage la Prairie briefly, then near MacGregor for over three decades. She leaves her husband and five children, her mother Mrs. James Pennell, and four brothers, with a large community gathering attending the Monday funeral at the family residence followed by interment at MacGregor Cemetery under Rev. B. Pearson.
