Manitoba soldiers received Distinguished Conduct Medals at Government House. Lieut Alfred Sheldon and Company Sergeant Major F C Sims, both of MacGregor, were honored for front line service. Mr J W Sparrow received the Military Medal won by his son Private Frank R Sparrow who sacrificed for his country. The town’s people take pride in these heroes and their district’s honored veterans.
