Remembrance Day Observed Worldwide and in Ottawa
A solemn Armistice Day ceremony marked observances across nations. In Ottawa the largest crowd on record gathered at Parliament Hill where the carillon signaled the two minutes of silence. Governor General Lord Bessborough and Prime Minister Bennett laid a wreath at the memorial chamber as Rev. Armstrong led services at the United Church with pupils, teachers, and Legion members in attendance. Wreaths were placed and the day closed with poppy tributes and the National Anthem.

Experimental farm notes on hay and livestock feeding
The Experimental farm at Brandon reports cheap hay production and expanded acreage. Idle work horses colts dry cows and older heifers receive hay morning and night with no grain in winter. During warm days they graze fields and carryover hay supports liberal feeding and better winter condition for cattle. Mixed hays favored over single varieties.
