Day Of Remembrance Service For Armistice Day
A memorial service was held at the local monument and United Church to honor those who died in the Great War. The event featured a two minute silence, poppy wreaths by the G.W.V.A. and LODE, and selections by a United Choir led by Mrs. John Woodin. The service closed with O Canada and God Save the King as the community recalled the 32 soldiers named on the monument and the broader sacrifice of Canadians in 1918.
