Community Club hosts Friday visitors. Curling club to hold semi annual meeting on Monday. Numerous weekend visitors from MacGregor, Winnipeg, Dauphin and nearby towns. Local bake sale raises funds for MacGregor Hospital Central Aid. Birthday wishes and travel updates mix with health notes and social events across Katrime area.
The Image Creek Beef Ring held its annual meeting at the school on Tuesday evening November 2. Sid Coulthard and S H McLachlan were reelected President and Secretary, A Pogue became Vice President, with Gord Nichol Ernie Smith as east side inspectors and Jim Kelly Don Wright as west side inspectors. Jim Kelly named director replacing S Thompson. The group discussed its 50 year operation since 1904 and planned a June 50th anniversary barbecue on school grounds with more details to come.
Mrs A Pogue reports weekend visitors including Mr M Boldt of Winnipeg and Mr Ted Matthews working on Pipeline construction at Glenboro. Mr and Mrs E Pogue visited Lakeland, and J L Pogue and family left Friday for Treherne district to attend Marina Dobbin's wedding at the United Church and the Rathwell Memorial Hat reception.
The Beaver Curling Club invites members to the school on Monday November 15 at 8 PM for the annual meeting. Discussion will cover a new curling schedule and election of the executive. Anyone planning to curl should attend or sign the Beaver Store notice so rinks can be drawn up satisfactorily.
Southend and MacAuley residents visited Pratt and Winnipeg guests joined Mr. and Mrs. K Cox and family. Pine Falls guests visited Chas Pennell home. The November WMS meeting at Mrs. W R Welsh featured nine members and five visitors with a program led by Mrs Jack Frank. Lunch and social time followed. thanks expressed to Mrs Welsh and hospital staff.
The MacGregor Calf Club met at MacAulay School on October 29 to reorganize. Officers for the coming year were elected: President Margaret Fawcett, Secretary Valerie Moore, Vice President Wayne Moore, Reporter David Hulme, Leader A E Chant, Assistant Leader R Douglas. New members are invited to the next meeting at Macaulay School on November 19.
