North Norfolk council debates road status west of Rossendale
North Norfolk council discussed five miles of road west of Rossendale, moved from provincial to municipal control last January. They rejected restoring it to the provincial system, citing lack of information from the province and a view the move was a behind the scenes shuffle with South Norfolk. The council approved 1966 levy payment of 4,683.04 to the Minister of Municipal Affairs for assessment, accepted councillor Les Fox’s resignation, and authorized attendance at the Rural Municipal Convention in Winnipeg with expenses. They will ask provincial advisory roads officials to consider placing Beaver area on the provincial system and hear Austin Agricultural Museum grant discussions.
