Waterworks in MacGregor shows high operation success
The village waterworks system has operated for over a month with strong performance. Most houses and businesses are connected or in progress, and planners aim for 95 percent connection. Water is praised as high quality, with more connections daily and a forthcoming pressure boost from a new pump station. A new dam on Jackson's Lake may be built, PFRA studying it. Annual charges discussed, with meters for farmers and users hauling water. Over 180 of about 200 connections have paid the $50 connection fee plus $2.10 per foot frontage tax, and prepaid frontage tax option offered until November.
