Manitoba spelling and oratorical finals set for Dec 6
The Manitoba School Trustees Association hosts a province wide spelling and oratorical contest final in Winnipeg. Ten top spellers will win silver trophies from the Canadian Bank of Commerce with runners up receiving silver pins. Orators at the area level receive trophies from Christies School Supply and gold pins, finalists earn a gold watch. Mavis Bergquist of MacGregor won the Pine Creek division near Gladstone and will compete against area four winners at Holland on November 10.
