Obituary for H Hammond of Rosehill at age 80

Death visited Rosehill on October day claiming H Hammond aged 80. Born in West Kent England he arrived a decade ago and lived in Rosehill thereafter. A hard working, churchgoing man admired by neighbors, he leaves wife and son Henry on the farm. Funeral attended by many, with sympathy from Mrs Johnson and Granty base.

Presbyterian Women’s Mission Society Entertains

The M S Entertain t he Women's Foreign Mission Society of the Presbyterian church held an evening program in the church Friday with Rev. K J Hunter presiding. The choir performed several selections and Miss Cairns sang a solo while Master Koy tatt le played an instrumental. Me Tgan D McLean sang two solos and Rev A Chisholm gave an address on foreign missions. Mrs Chisholm’s solo was praised and Mr Thompson accompanied at the organ. A free-will offering was noted and refreshments were served by the ladies.
