Guayule Rubber Could Ease Shortage on Prairies

Mexico already produces over 1,000,000 pounds monthly, with Salinas plants contributing to a projected 1943 yield of 100,000 tons. Guayule rubber costs around 10 cents a pound versus 30 to 60 cents for synthetics, offers similar mileage, and contains more resin for plastics.
